1. Spin existed from the very beginning
→ After the Big Bang, matter spread across the universe.
→ Small irregularities or “wobbles” in this matter created spinning clouds of gas and dust.
→ When these clouds collapsed to form stars and planets, the tiny initial spin was conserved i.c. angular momentum.
→ That’s why everything — stars, planets, galaxies, even electrons — keeps spinning.
2. Angular Momentum Conservation
→ A law of physics: once something starts spinning, and no external force stops it, it will continue spinning.
→ Example: A figure skater spins faster when pulling arms in — conserving angular momentum.
3. Gravity + Motion = Rotation
→ Gravity pulls matter together.
→ But while pulling, it also causes matter to spin.
→ So galaxies, stars, and planets all end up spinning.
🌠
-The spin started at the birth of the universe.
-Since then, due to the laws of physics, everything continues to rotate.
