Today we started the adobe walls of the new house. The first pass is the "inner wall" and will later be covered with a "plaster", made in a similar fashion as the adobe, except without the palm leaves for fiber.
The four ingredients are all from the property—spring water, leaves stripped from dried palm branches, a red clay that is dry and sandy and a yellow clay that is dense and much more like clay.
The wall you see that we did today still lacks the 2-3 layers of outer finish that will be applied after the wall dries, which will be in about a week.
