"Highway of Death" Aerial Footage - Gulf War Desert Storm Aftermath (1991)

Описание: On 2 March 1991, two days after the Gulf War's end, ITN's cameras captured footage of the devastation covering Highway 80 in Kuwait. The main road between Kuwait and Iraq, it was on Highway 80 that the final stages of Operation Desert Storm played out as American, Canadian, British and French air and ground forces attacked an Iraqi army convoy as it beat a panicked armed retreat across the border into Iraq. ITN documented the devastation left behind on the road, which had already been dubbed the ‘Highway of Death’ by Western press.
