What a great song. It’s a perfect song. So bouncy and happy and yet still realistic. Everybody can understand that feeling about meeting someone and loving everything that they do and still say to themselves that they know love is tricky and they should have known better. Maybe it’ll work out and maybe it won’t but that’s the witty, slightly cynical realism I love in John Lennon’s songs, especially from the early Beatles. Can’t think of a Beatles song I love more than this one.
