The discussion of “the notecard,” including the closing line of the speech, is taken from a commencement address by Dr. Morgan McArthur at the Iowa State University School of Veterinary Medicine Commencement on 5/6/17. Dr. McArthur is a large animal veterinarian, acclaimed international professional speaker, and a Toastmasters World Champion of Public Speaking.
