This tutorial walks you through finding the calorimeter constant in a calorimetry lab. Finding the energy transferred, in the form of heat from a "hot" object to a "cold" object, is found my measuring a temperature change. However, these experiments take place in a calorimeter. The calorimeter itself can absorb some of the heat.
