उत्तर प्रदेश के गोरखपुर जिले के पिपराइच थाना क्षेत्र के बिजहरा गांव में एक दिल दहला देने वाली घटना सामने आई है। 3 साल की मासूम अदिति की उसकी सौतेली मां ने कुल्हाड़ी से निर्मम हत्या कर दी।

मंगलवार रात करीब 11 बजे आरोपी पूजा ने सो रही बच्ची को पहले जमीन पर पटका, फिर कुल्हाड़ी से गर्दन पर वार कर दिया। पिता त्रिवेणी मौर्य के मुताबिक, वह कुछ देर के लिए बाहर गए थे। लौटने पर कमरे में खून फैला मिला और बेटी की लाश देख वह चीख पड़े।

घटना के बाद आरोपी भागने लगी, लेकिन ग्रामीणों ने करीब एक किलोमीटर तक पीछा कर उसे पकड़ लिया और रस्सी से बांध दिया। सूचना पर पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर हत्या में इस्तेमाल कुल्हाड़ी बरामद कर ली।

प्राथमिक पूछताछ में आरोपी ने बताया कि पति बेटी को ज्यादा प्यार करते थे और वह उन्हें सबक सिखाना चाहती थी। वहीं कुछ ग्रामीण इस घटना को कथित ‘बली’ से भी जोड़कर देख रहे हैं, हालांकि पुलिस पूरे मामले की जांच कर रही है।

At around 11 p.m. on Tuesday night, the accused, Pooja, first threw the sleeping girl to the ground and then slashed her neck with the axe. According to the father, Triveni Maurya, he had gone out for a while. Upon returning, he found blood all over the room and screamed upon seeing his daughter's body.

After the incident, the accused tried to flee, but villagers chased her for about a kilometer, caught her, and tied her with a rope. Upon receiving information, police arrived at the scene, arrested the accused, and recovered the axe used in the murder.

During preliminary interrogation, the accused stated that her husband loved her daughter more and she wanted to teach him a lesson. Some villagers are also linking the incident to an alleged 'sacrifice,' although the police are investigating the entire matter.
