Early in the morning, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb, her heart heavy with grief, ready to care for the body of the One she loved. But instead of sorrow, she found an empty tomb—and what she thought was a gardener. Then He said her name: “Mary.” And in that moment, she knew. Jesus Christ lives.
The tomb was empty. Death had been defeated. Hope restored. And Mary ran—ran—to tell the others. Her joy couldn’t be contained, and her testimony echoes still: He is risen!
Today’s song is I Know That My Redeemer Lives. Because He does, and I know it. The One who bore every sorrow, who descended below all things, rose in glory and light. And because He lives, we can too. We can face our darkest days with hope. We can trust that joy will come. And we can know that death is not the end—it is only the beginning of something far more beautiful.
Because of Him, there is peace. There is purpose. There is eternal life.
He is risen!
