Whether you're talking about AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud, they all have a similar organization for their data centers by grouping them into availability zones or just plain zones. Each AZ has one or more data centers. From there, availability zones are grouped into Regions. Regions typically have two or more availability zones.
