People-pleasing often stems from low self-esteem, a common challenge for dyslexic individuals. This behavior can develop as a way to avoid conflict, gain approval, or escape the fear of failure rooted in childhood experiences. However, constantly saying “yes” and putting others’ needs first can lead to bottled-up resentment, self-devaluation, and frustration. In this video, I’ll explore the origins of people-pleasing, its connection to dyslexia, and how to recognize whether you’re stuck in this pattern. Together, we’ll uncover tools to break free and prioritize yourself in a healthy, constructive way.
