Here is an example of wrapping the chrome grille frame on a SKODA OCTAVIA in matte black.
On this car, all decorative elements are matte black except the Škoda badge and the grille frame, which didn’t match the overall look of the vehicle.
In this case, I used Oracal 970 Black vinyl film for color change.
The film must be evenly heated and stretched, and then heat-shrunk back on the edges so it returns to its natural shape.
In this video, I show step by step how to do it in a technical and clean way, without removing the part.
Remember: the key to a successful wrap is a 100% dry, thoroughly cleaned, and degreased surface. Preparation can take much more time than the wrapping process itself.
