I noticed that Hokkaido is not a preferred destination, especially among European or American travelers, whereas, among Asian travelers, it is way more popular. I visited Hokkaido for the first time after my Singaporean friend recommended it.
I hope I can convince more of you to add Hokkaido and the Lake Akan area to your Japan travel bucket list!
