This Hike Is considered one of the best and most iconic hikes in Mallorca!

Описание: James Miles and his dad set out on a beautiful adventure hiking the famous GR221 route from Sóller up toward the mountain lakes high in the Tramuntana range of Mallorca. Known as the Dry Stone Route, the GR221 winds through some of the most spectacular landscapes on the island, passing ancient terraces, olive groves, and rugged mountain terrain.

Starting early in the morning from the charming town of Sóller, James and his dad began the steady climb into the mountains. The path quickly left the town behind and entered quiet forest trails surrounded by pine trees and traditional dry stone walls that have shaped the landscape for centuries. The cool mountain air and peaceful surroundings made the hike feel like a true escape into nature.

As they climbed higher, the views opened up dramatically. Looking back, they could see the Sóller valley and the distant Mediterranean Sea sparkling on the horizon. James kept a strong pace on the trail, enjoying the challenge of the rocky paths and steep sections while chatting and laughing with his dad along the way.

After a good climb through the Tramuntana mountains, they finally reached the beautiful reservoirs known as Cúber and Gorg Blau, often called the “lakes” of Mallorca. Surrounded by towering peaks and wide open skies, the area felt wild and remote compared to the busy coastlines of the island. They stopped to rest, enjoy some food, and take in the incredible scenery reflected in the calm water.

The hike was not just about reaching the lakes, but about sharing time together in the mountains. For James and his dad, the GR221 provided the perfect mix of adventure, challenge, and unforgettable views in the heart of Mallorca’s natural beauty.
