The Greek historian Herdot mentions the buildings that were built by the Achaemenids between Susa and Sard. He mentions one hundred and eleven buildings similar to the caravanserai (printing house) that were built in a distance of about 2,500 kilometers between the Achaemenid capital and Sard , which the caravans traveled for three months. [9]

Dor Caravanserai is one of the 999 caravanserai built by Shah Abbas Safavid on the Silk Road, which unfortunately is being destroyed
