♔ Theme Interpretation ♔

Present. People often say to live in the present- not to dwell on the past or worry about the future, but what if the present is a nightmare that you will never wake up from? One that you want to avoid at all costs?

You will have no choice but to let that nightmare take over your life.

♔ Story ♔

Arthmael, Gaea and Verity, knowing their scheming sisters, were worried that Antoinette and Gwendolyn were plotting to harm Lilliana. They warned Yuzuru and told him to keep Lilliana out of danger. One day, Lilliana received a note from Antoinette asking to meet in the garden. Unknowingly, she approached her seemingly upset older sister, giving her a comforting hug. Just as Lilliana’s back was turned, Gwendolyn crept out of hiding and ruthlessly stabbed her sister through the heart. Yuzuru, Arthmael, Gaea and Verity rushed to the scene, only to be faced with Lilliana’s dying body, realising that they were one step too late. Yuzuru, overcome with grief, held his lover in his arms until she let out her last breath.
