So, this is quite old. Like very old, but I always thought I'll upload it later, because it was one of my faves. And that "later" became very late, but here we are.
The reason I decided to post it now is because I made a newer video with a similar topic and because I find the new one WAY better, so I decided to present this one first.
For many reasons I love this video, and this was a really huge project back then. Probably it is one of my videos I worked the most on. But there are still certain things in it that I don't like. So there were times I considered if I even wanted to upload it at all. But I like some parts of it too much to not to.

Now onto the choice of characters, because that needs a little explanation. Well, that isn't an everyday experience to see Theo as a good guy, and the reason I chose him for this part were his voice-overs about his sister in season 5. Mostly when he talked about finding her dead. Now these voice-overs gave me the impression that it could've been said about someone, who committed suicide. In THAT case, Elena (I mean, the girl in the video with her face) did NOT commit suicide, but attempted it. And Theo (the guy with his face) talks about his guilt of not being more cautious with her. Like how he didn't stop her from tyring to take her own life. Just trying, because she did not succeed. Yeah, that one has a kinda happy ending. Or at least a happy-ish one.
And the reason I chose Elena is... I mean, she has a lot of scenes, which means more possibility. And also her scenes with Dr. Wes at the start played a huge part. Because even though the scenario in the show was a very different situation, those scenes can give the impression of someone being locked away in an mental asylum. Not to mention she had quite a few scenes, when she seemed pretty insane/mad. Like the parts with the vampire virus and also Amara's scenes, and a few others. So, these are the reasons behind choosing these two characters for this story.

I think it is kind of clear from the edit, that the theme is one that returns on my channel from time to time again, which is bullying and its effects on one's mental health and later life. I can't stress enough how harmful bullying is, but most people don't take it serious enough.

So, the plot: Elena was bullied her entire school life, which drove her to the edge of insanity and she ended up killing one of her enemies. But that didn't help her, on the contrary. This action made her spiral even deeper into madness.
After a while she confused reality with hallucinations and was constantly jumpy and scared and became quite dangerous. Both towards others and herself.
Now, there's this guy, Theo, who feels a lot of compassion for her and has similar experiences, and tries to help her out. For a long time his efforts are fruitless, but after a while she starts to feel again and open up and her wounds slowly start to heal and she falls in love with him, which gives her a new chance for happiness, and to leave the past in the past. So, in the end, she gets a new start.

(Yeah I know most people can't just walk away from a mental asylum after commiting murder, but maybe it was her and Theo's secret... I don't know, but I wanted to give her a happy ending.)

Coloring: probably KeepHopeAlive (but I like I said this video is very old).

Oh, and the song choice! WT was my fave band for a long-long time and back in the day I made a similar video with the same song, which obviously was terrible due to being so old, and it's actually kinda a remake of it. And this song to me always had the vibe of madness somehow. Like the deep fear desrcibed in this song, the melody, the voice... Idk... Seemed to fit. And even the lyrics could be interpreted in such way. Like the intense fear of insanity, losing oneself to madness. But probably that's just my take.

Ps: I have to add that as a Christian, I know that God is the only one that can free and heal someone, but I also think that at times, He sends people that can help in the journey of healing.
