Exploring the Black Plays Archive #5: Advice to Writers

Описание: In this final episode, playwright Winsome Pinnock and dramaturg Ola Animashawun are out to inspire writers of the future. They talk about persistence, self-belief, and some of the patchy careers advice they received when starting out.

The NT’s Black Plays Archive is a record of the first professional production of every African, Caribbean, and Black British play produced in the UK. This series shared some of the treasures from the archive, from modern classics to hidden gems.

With a growing number of contextual resources such as interviews, essays, and newly recorded play extracts, the Black Plays Archive aims to build an accessible catalogue of these productions and to address the forgotten histories of black playwrights and practitioners in the UK.
