Calculating your Life Path Number:
Reduce your date of birth to individual digits (and the respective number for the month you were born in) and add each of those digits up to get a final number. If the final number is a compound number, add the two digits together for a single number or sum.*

For example: If your birthday is December 6th, 1999, December is the 12th month of the year (1 + 2). Add up the digits as follows:

1 + 2 + 6 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 9 = 37
3 + 7 = 10
1 + 0 = 1
Life Path Number 1 (with 10/1 resonance)

Another example: October (10th month of the year) 1st, 1978.

1 + 0 + 1 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 8 = 27
2 + 7 = 9
Life Path Number 9 (with 27/9 resonance)

And another example with a Master Number Life Path: May (5th month of the year) 6th, 1989.

5 + 6 + 1 + 9 + 8 + 9 = 38
3 + 8 = 11
1 + 1 = 2

*Note: Master Numbers take precedence over reducing them to single digits. I observe Master Numbers 11, 22, 33 and 44 in these readings and also find reducing them to single digits applies to a soul's life path as well, coming in as a supportive energy to the Master Number.
