Wave propagation in negative index metamaterial - here Drude model - in time domain. According to the frequency of the source, we have different behaviors :
ɛ and μ both positive : forward waves
ɛ and μ with different sign : band gap - no wave propagation
ɛ and μ both negative : backward waves
The simulations are done with FDTD with MATLAB software.
