WATCH 🎬 Our NH90 helicopter crews from No. 3 Squadron have teamed up with the New Zealand Police Special Tactics Group, Interislander, and Wellington Free Ambulance for a counter-terrorism exercise.
The Maritime Counter Terrorism training had police fast-roping from two NH90 helicopters onto the deck of the Aratere Cook Strait Ferry, during its crossing from Picton to Wellington. The exercise means our combat-capable squadron can continue to contribute to both peace and security on deployments.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank KiwiRail for their assistance and cooperation in making this training with Interislander possible.
