Hatcher Pass is an unmaintained gravel road that is typically only open through July (sometimes June) through mid September. This drive is packed full of scenic views as you drive through the summit. There are many chances to get out to enjoy the views, take pictures, hike on a trail, or bring your own picnic and enjoy the world around you. This is a 60 mile road without amenities, so go prepared. It is considered one of the "must dos" in Alaska and it is just an hour outside of Anchorage to get to!
