Irish musicians Neil Ó Briain (‪@NeilOBri‬) and John Tracey released their first collaborative and self-recorded project, titled 'Ar Foluain', on 18 May 2025.

'Ar Foluain'—meaning “afloat” in Irish—is a project of language, landscape, and connection. With a seamless mix of songs in both Irish and English and unique instrumental arrangements of traditional pieces, the record is a celebration of the artists’ individual expressions performed in harmony.

It was arranged, performed and recorded entirely by the artists themselves in just 4 days on the windswept Scottish island of Islay.

Alongside the EP, the duo released this companion documentary film, offering an insight into the making of 'Ar Foluain'. Entirely self-shot during the recording process, the documentary invites listeners into the visual creative space that accompanies the music. It’s a snapshot in time of friendship, artistic trust and the landscape that inspired the sound.

'Ar Foluain' is available on all major streaming platforms and on physical media through the artists’ official channels.
