Finn Mertens is the main opponent to the mod's demo. He was a former hero hailing from Adventure Time where with his magical dog, Jake, he went on adventures across the land of ooo. Due to the corruption, what was left of a hero is no longer there, instead being a walking glitching husk ready to attack anyone.

Appearance

Finn attains most of his iconic features such as his gold sword called Scarlet, his blue shorts and shirt, white hat, and green backpack. Due to the corruption however, he noticeably becomes spindlier and his eyes and mouth are covered in a black sludge, with some drooling off his mouth. His body flickers with many tiny multicolored squares. He also flickers various multicolored shapes from his body. His sword also flickers multicolored squares and every time he swings it, a glitched swing appears from it.

Who is Jake The Dog?

Jake the Dog is a secondary opponent to the mod's demo. He was the good friend of BMO, hailing from Adventure Time where with his best friend, Finn, he went on adventures across the land of ooo, using his elastic body. Due to the corruption, he is a walking glitching dog ready to attack anyone.

Appearance

Jake attains his basic form: a yellow-orange bulldog with the capacity of increasing or changing his body parts such as his arm turning into a pointy spear (seen in the poses). The corruption manifests in his lower part, where consumes his legs making him look without anything that supports his body.

What is FNF?

Friday Night Funkin' is a rhythm game in which the player controls a character called Boyfriend, who must defeat a series of opponents in order to continue dating his significant other, Girlfriend. The player must pass multiple levels, referred to as "weeks", each containing three songs. Each week, the player faces a different opponent, though some deviate in structure from this via the inclusion of multiple opponents. During gameplay, the opponent will sing a pattern of notes (represented as arrows) which the player must then mirror by using the arrow keys or the W, A, S, and D keys. Some songs introduce more complicated patterns, with the player's pattern sometimes varying from the opponent's or both singers engaging in a duet.

For each week, the player has the option to select one of three difficulties: Easy, Normal, or Hard. As the difficulty increases, the speed of incoming arrows increases, and the patterns of arrows become more complex. The player's high score for each week on each difficulty is tracked and shown in the top corner of the week selection screen. The game contains two different modes of play: a story campaign in which songs are played linearly and a "free play" mode which allows for free selection of any of the game's music tracks.
