Show Synopsis :The protagonist, Rani Mittal (played by Reena Kapoor), is a wealthy girl who marries into a poor family and learns to adapt to a lower-middle-class lifestyle. After the death of her first husband, Raj Goel, her family arranges her marriage to his wealthy look-alike, Prince Thapar.Twenty years later, during the second year of the show's run, after the deaths of Rani and Prince, their daughter Pari Thapar, who bears a striking resemblance to her mother, becomes the new protagonist. The show then follows Pari's journey through her first crush in college, her marriage to her soul-mate Saumya Parashar (Aamir Ali), and the many challenges she faces in her married life. Saumya tragically dies while trying to save his cousin Sameer (Vikram Acharya) from falling off a cliff. Pregnant at the time, Pari soon goes into labor. Dr. Manav Kumar, a renowned obstetrician, oversees her delivery. Coincidentally, Manav's wife, Pallavi, also gives birth to a baby boy on the same day, under the supervision of Manav's friend Dr. Saurav. Pallavi dies in childbirth, and Pari's newborn son also passes away.
