On Thursday, June 9, 2016, the Toronto Police Service requested the public's assistance with a shooting investigation.
It was alleged that:
on Friday, June 3, 2016, at 11:42 p.m., two unidentified parties were dropped off in what police believe to be a two-door, green, 2007-2010 Hyundai Accent
the two parties then attended the rear of unit 111 at 70 Blake Street where they fired several shots into the unit, striking a 10-year-old boy in the shoulder
the two parties then fled the complex in the two-door 2007-2010 Hyundai Accent.
On Wednesday, June 22, 2016, two men were arrested in relation to the shooting.
Jeremy Morgan, 18, of Toronto, is charged with:
1) Use Firearm During the commission of an Indictable Offence
2) Aggravated Assault
3) Weapons Trafficking
4) Possession of a Loaded, Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
5) Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
6) Handle Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Section 117(H) of the Firearms act
7) Carry Concealed Weapon
8) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
9) Disguise with Intent
10) Possess Schedule II substance for Trafficking
11) Unlawfully Possess Schedule I substance
Jaden Sauve, 20, of Toronto, is charged with:
1) Use Firearm During the commission of an Indictable Offence
2) Aggravated Assault
3) Possession of a Loaded, Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
4) Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
5) Carry Concealed Weapon
6) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
7) Disguise with Intent
8) Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle
9) Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer
10) Drive Motor Vehicle No Licence
11) Fail to Comply Probation
Subsequent to the investigation, a search warrant was executed.
John Fetterly-Brown, 23, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
1) Possess Weapon – Dangerous to Public Peace
2) Possession of Proceeds, Property or Thing Obtained by Crime Exceeding $5000
3) Unlawfully Possess Schedule I Substance
Destany White-Campbell, 18, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
1) Possess Schedule II substance for Trafficking
2) Unlawfully Possess Schedule I substance
The men were scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Thursday, June 23, 2016, 10 a.m., courtroom 501.
Destany White-Campbell was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Thursday, June 23 2016, 10 a.m., courtroom 101.
The car has since been located.
