Since I've played Super Double Dragon, the US version, I now play through the superior, more polished Japanese version, Return of Double Dragon. Released about a week later, this version features adjustable difficulty and credit numbers, different set of enemies in some areas, enemies can now duck moves, the ability to deflect knifes and bombs, the ability to change weapon, a lot of the music was shuffled around (with a couple new ones added), and the final level was extended. Unlike the US version, there is no ending text and just goes straight to the credits.

I play through the game as the Player 2 character, Jimmy Lee. What I had to do was start the game in the 2 Player Game Mode B (the one with friendly fire), and let Billy get his a$$ kicked until all of his lives are gone. And then I continue the game with just Jimmy.
