Right at the end of "Bear Down", there's an island that can be reached using the dark blue platforms. Get to that island, and get warped to the secret Warp Room.
This unlocks a secret starting route to Air Crash. Just break all of the crates you find there and hit the Green "!" Crate at the end.
The exit should take you right back to the level's main path, just before the first crates you find there.
From there, go through the rest of the level, break all of the crates, including the ones in the Bonus, and reach the end. You should finally get the Crate Gem for this level.
Air Crash has a lot going on for it. It has a Skull Route, and both a secret Warp Room route leading to and from this level.
It's very possible for a specific sequence to occur through this: 3rd Warp Room to Bear Down to Secret Warp Room to Air Crash to Secret Warp Room to Snow Go to 1st Warp Room.
