Nifty Trades At Highest Ever Valuation Basis Price & Earnings Growth

Описание: India’s Nifty has been the best performing global equity market since the low of the pandemic with a return of over 125 percent from the low of March 2020. The valuation had touched a low of 13 times one year forward earnings which has growth to over 22 times. That’s the highest ever for the 50-stock index. The other factor contributing to the same has been the rise in earnings. Nifty’s earnings per share from 2020 to 2021 gained over 170 percent. During 2002 to 2007, Nifty gained 5 times while earnings grew 280 percent. Here’s Jayesh Khilnani comparing how the current times could be similar to 2002 to 2007.
