There were two hundred and fifty three, fire related fatalities from March 2018 to March 2019, according to a government report.
Well, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue are hoping to expand their team and tackle those incidents with their on call fire fighter scheme.
The initiative, is aiming to recruit more fire fighters who can can join the team on a part time basis while still at their usual jobs or businesses.
