To create a new community, start by launching the Microsoft Teams app and signing into your account. From the home interface, tap on the "Communities" tab located at the bottom of the screen. At the top of this section, you’ll see a list of communities you’ve already joined or created.

To create a new one, tap the plus (+) icon, usually found in the upper-right corner of the screen. This opens the "Create a community" setup window. You’ll be presented with various use-case suggestions such as creating a community for school, business, sports, or other categories. If none of these templates fit your needs, select the option "Create my own."

Next, enter the name of your community. You can also add a description to explain its purpose, although this step is optional. Choose whether the community should be "Public" or "Private." Public communities allow anyone to find and join, while private ones require an invitation or approval to access.

You’ll also be given the option to upload a profile picture for your community, helping others identify it more easily. Once all the details are filled in, tap the "Create" button. Your new community will now appear in the Communities tab, ready for you to begin inviting members and starting conversations.
