New Civil Aviation policy soon: Mahesh Sharma

Описание: Union Civil Aviation Minister, Dr. Mahesh Sharma today said that the govt is bringing a Civil aviation policy very soon.Speaking on the sidelines of a programme in new Delhi, he said that India stands at 9th position in the field of aviation, and the govt is trying to bring it up to the 3rd position... Suggesting a slew of passenger-centric measures, he said that airlines will have to refund all statutory taxes in case of flight cancellations. With regard to those denied boarding, mainly due to overbooking, the government has proposed compensation up to Rs 20,000, subject to certain conditions.
