Welcome to video 2 of my multi-part series on elemental systems, and their history, and design. In my last video, we examined several systems introduced by the Greek, Chinese, and Hindu cultures, before seeing how they expanded with time into the modern concept of an element.
In this video, I will analyze several of the elemental systems present in various pieces of media, highlighting interesting phenomena or design choices. In doing so, I’d like to compare and contrast how these series went about defining or using the elements, to greater or lesser effect.
