The following represents a sample of the excellent work UGA undergraduate students performed for their Animation 1 final in the Fall Semester of 2019.
Though the class is technically demanding, requiring students to learn basic modeling, rigging, texturing, animation and rendering skills on the latest version of Autodesk's MAYA, its main focus is on visual storytelling through animation. The Animation 1 course puts storytelling methods into practice as new as Pixar's 22 rules of storytelling and as tried and true as Disney's 12 principals of animation.
The work here represents the culmination of skills acquired by students completely new to Maya based animation over a 16 week period. All of their work is completely original.
