HOW TO: Infill on 4 Week Growth | Acrylic Backfill | Back to Basics

Today Sarah takes you back to basics and shows you how to infill an acrylic nail that has had four weeks growth. This video has sarah hunting for white blocks, chat about halloween decorations and whether or not you'd take the full bowl of sweets if it was left outside for trick or treaters.

Sarah starts out by pushing the cuticles back with a cuticle pusher and then cleans the rest of the dead skin away with a diamond ball bit, she the removes the bulk off of the nail with a barrell bit and tidies the shape up with a 180 grit file. Once she has done this she cleans the dust away and then preps and primes the nail.

Sarah takes small beads of Rose Glow and fills in the gap where the nail has grown out, rehydrating the old acrylic with monomer as she goes to ensure the infill bonds fully. Sarah then perfects this shape with a 240 grit file and buffs the acrylic smooth. To finish the infill process off Sarah turns the nails over and removes the outgrown natural nail with a ceramic cone bit to make the overall look neat and prevent any lifting, she cleans away the dust with some gel res and the nail is ready for gel polish application.

Sarah applies Caribbean Cruise onto all of the nails and top coats leaving them a beautiful bronze autumn colour.
