I took a bold step and asked my best friend, who was visiting from England, on a temple date. As a gay convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the teachings about eternal marriage and temple sealings have always intrigued me, and I wanted to explore what that could mean in my unique situation. In this video, I share the story of how I invited my best friend to attend a temple session with me, followed by dinner and some ice cream. What made this even more interesting is that we're both close with a certain well-known celebrity, who once jokingly suggested that we should get together. This playful suggestion led to me taking a unique approach to ask her out.
