From Ranked games that popped off earlier this week, a battle of players with strong UMVC3 roots, who have done work in a variety of competitive fighting games, and are both locked in for the mixed Tuco bracket that's going on later today at GENESIS X3! A smaller bracket, but stacked with some of NAs best players, with it happening in NORCAL, a very key hub in the UMVC3 days! It starts later today with pools being streamed alongside the all Duo bracket, and then on Saturday it'll go from Top 24 to completion!

An UMvC3 EVO Champion (with their only being ever one-time champs), who was one of the top Marvel players during the competitive prime of UMvC3, Filipino Champ has definitely been on the 2XKO grind playing solo & teaming up with ONIC|NYChrisG as well! Securing their EVO championship in 2012, they also went deep into the top 8s of the first MvC3 EVO in 2011 (the Vanilla version which only lasted for 10 months-ish), then after in 2013 and 2014 as well! A very decorated Marvel player, also having an exceptional reputation in Street Fighter 4 with their Dhalsim play, one of the handful of US players at the time, who proved to be capable of going toe to toe with the dominant Japanese and other international players traveling to compete in SF4! Between their UMvC3 and Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite success, 2XKO looks like a game made for their demonstrated fighting game skillset! And they'll get to show out this weekend on home turf, with the first talent concentrated tuco bracket involving out of town players, that they've been a part of since picking up 2XKO!

They stepped into the arena with a player who killed it in competitive Dragon Ball FighterZ and most recently Guilty Gear Strive, and there's been no half stepping for EG|Supernoon coming into 2XKO, where since the closed beta they really have been hard committing to the game! Being at the top of the heap in the pre-Closed Beta sessions and tournament runs, winning the TNS Alpha Lab tournament last year, and with competition more fully rolling they've been killing it! More recently EG|Supernoon finished 2nd at Frosty Faustings XVIII, which was the first ever 2XKO Major, losing a heated and hype Grand Finals to ONi|bleed, the young player who's arguably the best Illaoi! And teaming up with TSM|Leffen they won R.I.S.C. 2025 as a Duo in a mixed bracket, becoming the first NA/EU duo to win a major-ish tournament. As a solo at EVO France 2025, they came in 2nd at 2 NICE KO which had a good amount of North American killers who travelled, and a plentiful supply of sick France and UK Dragon Ball FighterZ and other anime fighting game players! Very likely one of the favorites this weekend at GENESIS X3, EG|Supernoon is absolutely a player to look out for in this bracket, very likely we'll see the team they played in these replays, currently considered the top meta team of Yasuo x Ekko Freestyle!
