Unbundle the strap holding the different parts of the poles together. Let the different parts of the pole hang freely using the handle.
Fit the two lower sections together. To lock, rotate the section until you feel some resistance. The resistance indicates the section has locked into place. Turn the screw to the desired tension, then close the flick lock.
To adjust the length of the strap. Pull the tension block out. Once the tension block is removed you may pull the loose end to tighten the strap, or pull the upper end to loosen the strap.
When both poles are set to the proper length and locked you are ready to hike.
