Many world leaders travel in motorcades escorted by police through Manhattan during the morning rush hour, surrounded by cyclists, walkers and traffic. The delegates were attending the 1st Day of the United Nations General Assembly at the UN HQ in New York City. The NYPD escorted the motorcades while the US Secret Service and Diplomatic Security Service, along with other agencies, provided protection for the VIPs.
