The GR 92 is named after the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. It is one of the most beautiful paths in Catalonia.
It begins in Portbou, runs along the entire Costa Brava, passes through Barcelona, and ends in Tarifa, the southernmost point of Spain.
The coastal paths overlap with the GR 92 for approximately 130 km, between Portbou and Blanes.
The Camino de Sant Jaume, or Mediterranean Way to Santiago de Compostela, is another option.
In Lloret de Mar, a branch of the Camino de Santiago comes from Girona and Tossa de Mar and then joins the Via de Marina towards Barcelona, hugging the coast.
This region of La Selva is crisscrossed by trails leading to Santiago de Compostela, both inland and along the coast, following the Via de Marina.
