The Arts-Science postdoctoral fellowship was one of the first interventions by the new Wits Innovation Centre to stimulate interdisciplinary innovation across Wits University campus.
Drawing from the success of such programmes internationally, this fellowship enables an artist with a PhD to work as a member of a science lab at Wits.
In this short documentary we follow the first Art-Sci fellowship which placed the Egyptian New Media artist, Dr Diaa Ahmed Ahmedien, in the Structured Light Lab in the Wits School of Physics under the direction of Prof Andrew Forbes.
