Located in the heart of Galilee, high up on the Hararit ridge, hides one of Israels best kept secrets. Fifity yeras ago, two Melkite priests purchased this hill and established a monastic hermitage. A place of solitude and prayer. Father Ya'akov and FatherTomah lived alone on the hill without water of electricity. Their goal was to serve the local arab speaking christian community and to become a bridge to the Jewish population in Galilee. This tour we will visit this monastery, which after the death of the founding fathers, is maintained and operated by sisters from the "Monastic Family of Bethlehem of the Assumption of the Virgin". Folow the signs to the Cave - Church , the cave was once a water cistern which the founding fathers cleared out and turned into the most beautiful underground chapel. Stone stairs lead down and you can sit and enjoy the quiet and the colors of the natural light coming down from the shafts in the ceiling. Views from the monastry are specatacular, observing as far as lake kinneret in the east and the mediterranean sea in the west
