Humphrey Ker, Thom Tuck and David Reed are 'The Penny Dreadfuls', a sketch comedy trio who have, over a number of years, produced an occasional series in which they revisit the stories of great figures of history. Despite the broad and silly comedy, their stories are frequently attentive to historical fact, and some of their shows seek to 'set the record straight', such as in the case of Richard the Third, or Macbeth.
Their shows are typically led by impressive guest stars, and while their humour will not be for everybody, if it does work for you, there's an awful lot of fun to be had from their adventures...
