Guisborough Woods, home to incredible off-piste riding in summer, sadly with plenty of rain leading to sloppy conditions, it made for some hard riding in the mud!
Even though it was sunny, the weeks of rain have caught up with the trails and its puddles galore, thick soupy mud and it required a jet wash scrub down to finish.
Sadly dropped my bike on the thick mud into one corner and bent my Shimano XT brake lever... lucky for me it didnt snap and bent back to shape, so its good... for now!
But saying that the trails still on offer are fast-flowing trails with berm after berm, and even some nice jumps here and there, with technical chutes and rooty sections in abundence, that truly define what mountain biking is about!
I would recommend this place to anyone who is in the local area, but get in touch if you need showing round as finding the good trails at Guisborough is like a maze to the untrained eye!
