ULTIMATE GCSE ADVICE VIDEO for yr 10 moving to yr11, how to prepare for yr 11, how to revise!! 🤓

Hi so your in yr 10 or 9 maybe and want GCSE advice! Ok so don’t worry yr 11 is not as scary as you think! You just need to start getting/ writing your revision resources at the start of the year but also in yr 10 too!

MAIN POINTS 👇🏼
1. Each week do revision resources for all subject topics (mindmaps,flash cards,notes) on it but for maths I recommend doing a topic everyday because there are 90 topics overall, and remember that you are going to use it for your revision in yr11!
2. Make sure you KNOW your efficient technique to revise, try to find out as soon as possible!
3. Do a past paper question of your completed topic at the end of the week! Physicsand maths tutor has many good science past paper exam questions for every topic and notes for it!
4. Do not worry! Honestly take the weight off you it is not bad! Finishing ur 11 I guess is such a relief but it wasn’t too hard.
5. Set a schedule! Set when you are going to study and for how long, for me school days took 2hrs for revision 1hr if I have homework. I did 30 mins each subject, it’s best to revise in short chunks!
6. Set a day of the week like Friday to refresh your memory by reading/practicing the revision you did in the week! I would spend 2hrs again but 15 mins each sub!
7. BE ORGANIZED! Put your revision for a subject in a separate folder, what I would say is don’t put some subjects like English all in one folder! For English there are 4 papers, so I used two folders (one for language and literature) or use four for four papers! Do the same with out her subjects! Organ side them by PAPERS! Don’t jumble them up!
8. For English write example grade 9 essays on YouTube I recommend Mr Salles Teaches English! And then write your own following those grade nine techniques, also for English I recommend printing good literacy words or sentence starters.

BIBLE STUDIES GROUP (love it if you can join!):
It’s a group on WhatsApp and there’s almost 200 people in it 😲 and there is a group call on zoom where everyone joins no one shows their face ok. You don’t need to talk you can just listen. And the highest amount of people is about 40+ in the call it’s not as bad as you think, and there’s a leader that discusses a passage in the Bible and it is soo good because the Holy Spirit literally speaks.
I super recommend you join especially if you are a Christian! Fellowship is important in our walk with Jesus, it will build you stronger in your faith with Jesus and relationship. It has definitely helped me to grow! There’s a call every Monday Wednesday Friday and Sunday at 8:00pm - 9:00pm or last 9:00 (UK TIME). If your not in the UK please still join and see if you can make it. It’s amazing!
