How to Make Supplì | Roman Street Food Inspired by My Trip to Rome

Описание: On a recent 2-week trip through Europe, one of the cities I visited was Rome — and while I was there, I finally got to try supplì, a classic Roman street food. Today I’m sharing how to make supplì at home, inspired by that trip and the flavors I fell in love with while wandering the streets of Rome.

Supplì are fried Roman rice croquettes made with tomato-based rice and a mozzarella center that melts into the iconic “cheese pull,” often called supplì al telefono. They’re similar to arancini, but smaller, more oval in shape, and distinctly Roman in flavor and style.

In this video, I walk you through the full process step by step — from cooking the tomato rice, to shaping and filling with mozzarella, to breading and frying. This is a great recipe to make if you want to recreate an authentic Roman dish at home or bring a taste of Italy into your kitchen.
