Days 5 and 6 of the Romanesque bell casting
On the fifth working day, beeswax was rolled into plates so that it could be used to make the wax model of the bell. I used a simple device that Theophilus Presbyter described in his Schedula diversarum artium.
i ist soft state the wax was applied to the now dry bell core and then placed around the core. In the evening of the fifth day you can already imagine the shape of the bell.

On the sixth working day even more wax was applied to the sound bow and the bell was turned smooth with iron tools. In addition, the handles have already been prepared so that they can be attached as soon as the bell model has been turned.
