My first introduction to Meiling and her creations was during Caribbean Fashion Week held in Kingston, Jamaica back in 2008.
Meiling’s designs evoke a sense of the purest form of beauty and effortless elegance. Renowned for her white shirts, Meiling is constantly reworking the concept of the white button down shirt, adding surprisingly contrasting details that have become unique to her aesthetic.
Meiling draws inspiration and joy from the passion she has for her work, collaboration with other creatives, mentoring young designers and the flora and fauna of her island home of Trinidad.
