Hello guys, and welcome back to Car Obsession. Hopefully by now you would have seen my First Drive video with the new Citroen C4, now it's all about the electric version, which is called the e-C4. It's the French brand's 5th model to come from the 'Electric For All' campaign in which the aim was to release 6 electrified models in 2020.

The Citroen e-C4 is powered by a 136hp electric motor, which is backed up by a 50kWh battery. The range on offer is up to 217 miles, and it can be charged from 0% to 80% in half an hour. The model on test in this video is the range topping Shine Plus.

The Shine Plus is the range-topping model, which starts from £34,995, offering standard features such as 18” alloys, LED lights, 10” touchscreen, DAB radio, Bluetooth, smartphone connectivity, navigation, 5.5” digital driver’s display, ’Siena’ leather seats, heated front seats, dual zone climate control, wireless phone charging, premium hi-fi and keyless entry.

There’s also a good host of safety features including automatic headlights with high beam assist, autonomous emergency braking, speed limit information, driver attention alert, blind spot monitoring and highway driver assist, which uses adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. This means it’s able to offer level 2 semi-autonomous driving.
