Missy arrives in Ladakh for the first time. We explore the local market, and the next day we visit the Namgyal Tsemo Monastery. On day three we go to Changtang Valley. This vlog describes our time in Leh. We explore the main market, sample local food, and comment on the cold in Ladakh. On the first day we buy a local SIM card and explain why an outside SIM does not work.
On day two we trek up the hill to the Namgyal Semo Monastery (Gompa). On day three we take our rental scooter on a bike trip to the Changtang Valley, more than 250 kilometers from Leh. Leh sits at 3,500 meters, while the Changtang Valley is at 4,500 meters, making it one of the highest altitude regions in the world.
