Years ago I made some videos about 5 station progressive presses (think Hornady, Dillon, etc.) needing to expand to accommodate more dies (before the FA X10 debuted...and has NOT taken the reloading world by the storm it probably thought it would). I like to run a Lee FCD (factory crimp die) on all my turrets, but on my progressives, since I run an RCBS lockout die, there aren't enough stations to run both a seating die and FCD, so I use an RCBS seating/crimping combo die. That means for 9mm and 45ACP I do a SEPARATE (and time consuming) crimp session. But, it was what it was.
Then along comes Lee Precision doing some more great innovating things with their products. When Lee introduced their seating micrometer adapter (I did a vid on the winning product too), I believe Fortune Cookie 45LC did a video on combing that with a Lee FCD. Not a supported product, but an interesting hack.
So now Lee officially releases the bullet seater adapter micrometer for the Lee FCD. WOW is all I can say. This video covers the unbagging, install and use of this new product from Lee.
